New Era Super Club Championship.
Donnington Short Curcuit.
After the day before it is a shock to me and most others that I even turned up for this meeting. After a 90mph get-off at Oulton Park less the 24 hours ago I was not going to bother, but spent till 11 o'clock rebuilding the bike so though may as well go for a ride out.
Things did not start well as had spent all last night on the bike but had not changed the gearing so it was a little off in practice and was sure the engine was making funny noises to.
As it turns out the bike had got a litre of petrol into the oil due to the crash the day before and the fact that the bike runs a fuel pump.
So with 5 minutes before the first race I had to change the oil.

Race 1 - Formula 400.
Starting from 21st on the grid, got a fair start and was up to about 10th at the end of the first lap then the red flags came out. On the restart the clutch cryed enough and was slipping like a god-un. Got up to about 14th but as the laps passed dropped down a couple to finish 17th.

Race 2 - Formula 400.
Started from 34th this time and did get a good start up to about 20th, then battled for the next 2 laps and got up to about 15th but then the clutch started slipping again and I just could not get the drive I needed to keep up and slowly dropped back over the next couple of laps. Also as I was a little sore from the day before I was not moving around as much as usual and not willing to sling the bike down the road again for such a lowly result. So at the end of the race it was 22nd place and I could have cried.

But looking back it was a sunny day and I came home in one peice.
It has taken me 3 weeks to get around to writing this as I was so upset with the results, but life goes on and I have a few plans up my sleeve for the end of the season!
